COSTA RICA! ENTERING OUR FINAL MONTH...

¡Hola! Here are some highlights of how we have been spending time with our brothers and sisters in Costa Rica these past two weeks!

On Tuesday (April/17) evening, Andrea arrived at the CARP Center to begin her 21 days! For three weeks, she will be staying at the CARP Center to focus on her life of faith. Our American team will be supporting Andrea in her growth during her time at the CARP Center!

On Wednesday, Maria, a guest that Fuyu has inherited from last year’s American CIG missionaries, came to visit and spend time at the CARP Center. Though her heart was closed off at first, it eventually opened with the love she experienced. She was able to come to the  Divine Principle Workshop later at the end of the week.

On Thursday, we celebrated the birthday of Fabiola, a member who had recently joined CARP. Later in the evening, she was able to invite her mom to the CARP Center. It was a great experience sharing about CARP with Fabiola’s mom.

On Saturday evening and Sunday morning, our American CIG family had the special opportunity of spending time and connecting with the local second-generation members in Costa Rica! On Sunday,, we had a special Sunday service held just for the second-generation youth and young adults. Each of our American CIG missionaries shared a personal testimony about growing up and being in the movement. It was such a precious experience for all of us!

On Wednesday afternoon, we had the special opportunity to perform a dance with our guest Felipe and his friend, Valeria, at the local university! We danced Sōran Bushi, a traditional Japanese song and dance performed by fishermen. We performed at the University and were grateful for the chance to share a little of love and joy with the students.

On Friday and Saturday, several of our guests came to participate in our 2-day Divine Principle Workshop. Two of our guests were returning guests who had previously participated in a 1 day workshop and had already started studying the Divine Principle together with our missionaries. During the two day workshop our guests received lectures from the Principles of creation, The Fall of Man and Jesus and the second coming. We hope that we can continue to love and support them on their journey of growing their life of faith!

As we enter May and the season changes into spring in the northern hemisphere, we have spent a few days in the last week of April to give our CARP Center in Costa Rica a fresh look! It took a whole lot of time and effort, but with the help of all missionaries, including our Costa Rican brothers and sisters, we were able to get the job done! We are grateful to have been part of the painting efforts with our brothers and sisters, and we are sure that the CARP Center will be looking bright and colorful for a while!
